Common questions asked by customers
Question What is the difference between Sailflags and feather flags?
Answer Sailflags is a brand name for promotional flags, which are available in a variety of shapes, with feathers and teardrops being amongst the most popular, so a feather can be banner shaped or incorporate curves along the top and/or bottom.
You can view our range of curved feather flags here
Q What are feather banners suitable for?
A Feather flags work well if you are looking for a traditional looking promotional flag and they also suit designs with square or rectangular logos and graphics (illustrations, photos or images)
These types of systems also move naturally in a light breeze or wind and also attract the eye, highlighting a point of interest.
Q Will they stand up in heavy wind / rain?
A Our systems are designed to stand up in heavy winds as long as the fillable base is full with water or sand (concrete bases are also available) In extreme weather, we would always recommend leaving flags indoors to prolong product life.
Technical questions asked
Question What are feather flags made of?
Answer Hardwearing knitted polyester, which is stronger than cotton.
Q How long do flags last?
A They will last a number of years if they are well cared for. Flags should be brought down each day to reduce damage and wear and tear.
If it is not possible to bring them in each day, we would highly recommend discussing this with your flag maker who can often make adjustments to the flags or strengthen them for you.
Q Do Sailflags offer a repair service?
A Yes. We can repair flags damaged along the flagpole sleeve edge or along the top of bottom of the flag. Simply return flags to us for repair (we can often send them back the same day)
Q Do you offer flag only replacements?
A Yes. We can in fact provide flags on their own or any parts required to refresh your systems. This includes replacement bases, poles (complete systems or individual sections) base collars, base caps, screws etc.
