Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

Plastic pollution and single-use materials are a massive problem for our planet and Sailflags
work to reduce, reuse and recycle all materials used, including by-products.

Reduce

• We reduce waste by supplying local schools with the paper used in our
print/production processes for rough sketching

• We reduce waste by supplying local people with large cardboard tubes from 100%
recycled fabrics. These tubes are used by designers and architects to
protect plans for new projects

• We reduce waste by supplying local businesses with the backing paper used in the
production process. This can be used by a variety of businesses for
gift wrapping, for example.

Reuse

• We reuse cardboard to wrap concrete bases in

• We reuse backing paper used in the production process to wrap pole sets and flags

Recycle

• We recycle all materials that can be recycled, including paper, plastic, cardboard, and metals

About Sailflags Eco Flags and Eco Banners

Sailflags have been making flags and banners for over 15 years and were the first flag maker in the UK to sign-up for the carbon zero scheme.

Why buy from Sailflags:

Flags and Fabric Banners supplied on recycled material

We supply all our flags and fabric banners on 100% recycled material as standard. This means you pay no extra and we can also add an eco-friendly logo to your design, so your customers know you are making an environmental choice.

Water-based inks used and recycled responsibly

Water-based inks are more environmentally friendly when compared to solvent-based inks used on PVC banners, for example.

Production waste is reused, repurposed, or recycled

We advertise what we cannot repurpose ourselves via social media. Schools and local businesses are able to reuse a lot of by-products from our production processes.

We plant trees on a small woodland located next to our premises

The woodland is a haven for wildlife and we have cleared an old chicken farm where trees are planted to ensure the area is nurtured for the benefit of future generations.

rewilding at sailflags

Sailflags have also started rewilding part of the woodland next to our premises

A section of woodland is currently being rewilded with a pond and planting of various species of native trees, shrub plants, and species-rich grassland. The project will enhance wildlife corridors and provide food and shelter for a wide range of species.

Rewilding is all about restoring ecosystems to the point where nature can take care of itself and thrive.

Interested in rewilding?

Many councils support rewilding schemes and there is a lot of information on rewildingbritain.org.uk
