This spring, Penzance will be adorned with a vibrant display of flags, bringing color and creativity to the town's promenade and center.The Penzance Promenade and Town Centre Flags 2025 project showcases the rich wildlife, environment, and community spirit of Cornwall through the lens of local artistry and craftsmanship.
Renowned Cornwall-based illustrator Jago Silver has designed a series of flags that capture the essence of the region.His artwork reflects the diverse wildlife, scenic landscapes, and cultural activities that define Cornwall.From coastal birds to iconic landmarks, each design tells a story of the area's natural beauty and heritage.
Bringing these designs to life, Sailflags, a Cornwall-based manufacturer known for their eco-friendly practices, has produced the flags using sustainable materials and high-quality printing techniques.Their commitment ensures that the flags are not only visually striking but also durable against the coastal weather conditions.
The installation will feature 18 flags along the Penzance Promenade and an additional 150 flags throughout the Town Centre, creating an open-air gallery that celebrates local identity and artistic expression.
